How to get your plants off to a great start and grow a great root system
One of the tricks that professional growers use to get their plants off to a great start is to water them in with a phosphorus rich nutrient solution which will make it easy for the plant roots to absorb nutrients and make them develop quickly and extensively.
Jack's Classic® Blossom Booster 10-30-20 applied at 1 tablespoon per gallon and used to water in your plants will minimize any transplant shock and help get the root systems established quickly and ready to absorb the needed water and nutrients. To maximize the effectiveness of using transplant solutions you need to make certain that your planting beds are well prepared by incorporating peat moss and organic matter into the top 6-12 inches of the planting bed. These well prepared beds will allow the roots to spread out and reach deep making them better prepared to withstand moisture stress as the season progresses into higher temperatures.
You can also use
Jack's Classic® Houseplant Special 15-30-15 as well as the
Jack's Classic® African Violet Special 12-36-14 at the 1 tablespoon per gallon rate as transplanting solutions since they both contain elevated phosphorus levels that are really beneficial in getting plants established in their new homes.
